It’s Worth Every Penny: David’s KAMRA Experience

After years of wearing glasses, David is able to enjoy the lake with his grandkids after getting the KAMRA inlay.

David: I got my first set of glasses when I was 19-years-old. I went in and the doctor said "Hey man,” he said, "What do you do for a living?" I said "I drive a truck." He said "Not until you get these glasses."

I was just spending all that money on glasses and exams every year over and over and over again. I was just tired of them. We looked into ClearSight and my wife said let's go up there and check it out, and here we are today.

Did a little research on the KAMRA inlay and the KAMRA inlay was an option for me, so we did LASIK and the KAMRA inlay. Whenever they first priced it to me, I thought oh my gosh, I don't know if I can afford that.

My wife and I discussed it a little bit and we decided how can we not afford it.

I was not nervous at all. They made me really, really comfortable. They were very, very informative. Whenever I went back for the surgery, they made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Luke was great. We talked a few minutes. They asked me what I wanted on the radio while they were doing the surgery and shoot, I remember telling them jokes while I was laying there and all the nurses giggled and stuff. It was a great experience.

My life's really changed as far as outdoor activities and going to the lake and playing with the grandkids. I don't have to worry about them knocking on my face or I don't have to get up in the morning, first thing, and find my glasses. I just get up and I'm ready to go. I probably got five or six different pairs of sunglasses in different vehicles just because I can buy sunglasses now.

If you ever consider it, I'd just say go do it. There's no question in my mind that I would do it 100 times again.
